Starting off the New Year Right!!

Mike and I got to spend New Years Day up at Mt Baker.
We strapped on our snow shoes and put on our packs and
headed to the back country to camp.  Along our way we ran
into a group that was coming back from camping and they
tipped us off to a group of snow caves that were just made
and currently vacant.  I've never slept in a snow cave before
so we checked it out and much to our great surprise they were
sweet.  4 star rating in regards to the world of snow caves.
The one we stayed in had 3 separate rooms and big enough to
stand in.  We want to go back as soon as we can.

Mike snuggled up for a long winters nap.
This is our camp grounds.  Nice and inviting don't you think!?
Another entrance to one of the other snow caves in this area.

This is our street with the snow storm that just hit.  Ava and Rylen have been enjoying the snow and playing out side this entire week.

Making the most of the winter storm.  Yesterday after Mike took me took work he decided to take the bindings off of my snow board and put them on the snow board he found for Rylen this last summer.  They went and practiced a hill not too far from our home.  He was a natural!! We are so proud!  He can't wait to go out and practice again.  Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Another reason Why Mike is the ONE for Me

Just another reason why Mike is the right man for me!!  Mike and I got to go hiking and camping this weekend with two of his brothers and leave the kids with Grandma.  We hiked to Waston Lakes which is located in the North Cascade Mountains.  This Alpine lake we camped next to had a view of a dozen waterfalls flowing off the Mountain side across from us.  Yes! it rained on us on the hike in and the hike out the next day.  But it was completely worth it.  I love doing the things I love with the one I love.  (and of course I love his brothers too.)
